Determine What Size & Quantity to Order?

What Size Bracket Should I Use?

    • NOTE: Ideally you want no more than 3" of unsupported countertop extending past the end of your bracket.
    • Lets figure this out. Take the width of your countertop, in this example we will use a 40" wide countertop. Subtract the desired amount of overhang past the end of the brackets, in this case 4". Why 4"? Because you will have 2" of countertop hanging past the bracket on both sides (2"+2"= 4").
    • This is what the math for that looks like: 40" - 4" = 36"
    • Results: You would want to order a 36" bracket.

How Many Brackets Should I Order?

    • A good rule of thumb for these brackets is to order as many brackets as you have framing studs.
    • You will want to space these brackets 16" - 24" apart. Spacing them directly over the top of your framing studs will give you maximum support and stability.
    • If you have 6 supporting studs under the countertop including the ends it is advised that you order 6 brackets

Place one Center Mount Countertop Support Bracket over every framing stud in your knee or pony wall.

    Simple installation overview:

    1. Install one bracket directly under a supporting vertical stud in your knee or pony wall.
      1. Alternatively, you can mount brackets to header style supports as well when vertical wall studs are not possible.
    2. Securely mount the bracket to the stud.
    3. Once the bracket is fastened finish the wall with your desired finishing materials, wood, drywall, tile, etc...
    4. Prior to setting the top in place, run a bead of high-quality silicone adhesive down the center of each bracket.
      1. Pro Tip: For a wood countertop application you have the option to secure that to the bracket with screws and skip the glue. For this, you would have to drill holes in the bracket and secure your wood shelf, desk, counter, etc… with screws using the holes you drilled.
