Freeman Iron Corbel
"I picked this style because they were low profile, hoping to prevent people from hitting their knee on them when you sit at the counter overhang. 2 things I noticed: 1) The finish was damaged during shipping from rubbing together. The packaging is not good. Heavy items like these corbels need proper packaging. It's a shame that companies go through such lengths to make a nice product, only to have them damaged in shipping. A packaging engineer would be a good idea to fix this issue. 2) I placed 2 orders. An order for 2 pieces than another order for 2 more pieces several weeks later. The "old world" finishes were clearly different. The parts are finished in black with some sort of brown "paint" dabbed on with a sponge or some type of applicator. The finish is definitely operator dependent. It doesn't really matter to me since they are very difficult to see under the countertop shelf and it is not noticeable. I checked the angle to make sure they were 90 degrees and they were right on. Very heavy duty and TIG welded for strength. They come in several different lengths which is great! I would definitely recommend these corbels. If the other corbels made by this company are as well designed as the Freeman ones, I would think they would be a outstanding product too. Attached are 2 pics. Just ignore the old countertop! :-)"
